Uganda men’s soccer team, the Cranes have been boosted by the recovery of Scotland-based winger

By George Katongole (Uganda) – Uganda men’s soccer team, the Cranes have been boosted by the recovery of Scotland-based winger David Obua ahead of the weekend home tie in the 2012 CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifier against tricky Angola. Obua, scorer of six goals for the Cranes has been out injured and only featured for his team Hearts in the Scottish League on Sunday for 14 minutes. Germany Offers Sports Scholarship To Ugandan Coach

A Ugandan swimming coach and trainer has been awarded a five-month sports scholarship in Germany.  Mr. Muwanguzi Muzafaru, who will travel to the University of Leipzig for his studies, is the fifth Ugandan recipient of a sports scholarship from Germany this calendar year. Kampala twin bomb suspects confess

Allan Ssempebwa Kyobe – Four Ugandans were on Thursday paraded by Uganda’s Intelligence agency, the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and confessed to the bombings that rocked Kampala last month. They included Mr.Isa Ahmed Luyima, Hassan Luyima, Edris Nsubuga and Mohammed Mugisha.
