Emulate Magufuli – Barrick tells Africa

AFRICAN countries have been advised to emulate Tanzania’s President John Pombe Magufuli in efficient management of his country’s natural resources for the interest of his people. “I am African. We are all Africans. President Magufuli is absolutely doing the right thing. He ensures a wealth of natural resources is identified and benefits the Tanzanians, we are here because we are in total agreement with Honourable President,” says Dr Willem Jacobs, Barrick Gold’s Chief Operating Officer for Eastern and Central Africa on meeting Magufuli in Dar es Salaam this week.

Tanzania: OBASANJO falls in love with Magufuli’s performance

OLUSEGUN Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, has become the second “Africa Renaissance Generation” leader to praise the great work of Tanzanian President, Dkt. John Pombe Magufuli. Obasanjo who was in Dar es Salaam recently, reminded the leaders in Africa not to forget that the former colonial masters wished they continued exploiting the vast resources of Africa as EU trend clearly exhibits the trend. Last year another “Africa Renaissance” leader Thabo Mbeki, former President of South Africa, was also in Tanzania and spoke well of the Magufuli Presidency especially on anti-corruption agenda and social development.

ESSENTIAL DRUGS: Tanzania attains Africa’s record high 90% stock availability

THE Government of Tanzania has confirmed that access to essential drugs has currently been strengthened, explaining that vital drugs are available by over 90 percent in hospitals, dispensaries and health centres across the country. The country's Medical Stores Department (MSD), Director General, Laurean Bwanakunu made the comments when he was phoned by the Chief Government Spokesperson Dr. Hassan Abbasi straight away from Radio Nyemo FM Studio in the City of Dodoma, being a continuation of ensuring that members of the public get correct and quick answers from government executives.

Tanzania: Dar Attracts 30trl- Projects in Three Years

INVESTORS’ confidence in Tanzania as an investment hub of choice is intensifying with latest figures showing that a total of 905 projects with a combined value of US $13.2 billion (about 30.4trl/-), were registered during the past three years. Tanzania continues to be the leading destination for Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) among member states of the East African Community (EAC), accounting for about 40 per cent of all the investments in the bloc that were received in 2017, according to the World Investment Report (WIR), 2018.

Fake News, Why Tanzania should stick to its Reform Agenda 

YET again, the Western media, having destroyed unity and harmony in some of their countries, have continues with the mudslinging campaign against some African countries especially the aggressive government of Tanzania. The false news machine is back on track. I have just discovered President Trump is right in demanding accountability in the US media. As an intern who worked in the Zanzibar side of Tanzania for 2 years I felt bad to read the latest round of such falsehoods coming from a Washington Post article titled; “Why is once-peaceful Tanzania detaining journalists, arresting schoolgirls and killing opposition leaders?” authored by one Rachael McLellan.
