Sierra Leone temporarily bans export of locally-produced rice, palm oil

Ogundeji – Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Joseph Dauda last week told his South African counterpart, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane that his country has given its approval for South Africa to open an Honorary Consul in Sierra Leone while looks forward to a reciprocity from South Africa. Sierra Leone & Liberia: Charles Taylor May Get Verdict This Year

Sierra Leone: World Bank signs agreement worth US$10million to support economic reforms

Sierra Leone: New Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone

Ogundeji – According to a statement from the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) on yesterday, Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed seven new ambassadors to foreign countries. Among them is a replacement for its envoy to Sierra Leone, Qiu Shaofang. The newly-appointed ambassador to Sierra Leone is Kuang Weilin.
