Nigeria: Results of the Parliamentary elections now being compiled

By Chinyere Ogbonna – Results of yesterday’s  National Assembly poll in Nigeria are being compiled now at various collation centres across the country. Team of correspondents who monitored the election in parts of the country reports that the election was largely peaceful in most areas, except for some states like Bayelsa,Delta Nassarawa states where violence were reported but brought under control by security agents who were on ground. Nigeria: Bomb scare in parts of Northern Nigeria

By Correspondent Chinyere Ogbonna–  As Nigerians go to polls today for the parliamentary election, there has bomb scare in parts of the northern part of the country. Yesterday the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Suleja, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory was bombed by unidentified bombers. Nigeria: INEC meets to address readiness for the postponed elections
