Africans, Undocumented New Yorkers to Benefit from New Municipal ID

UK: Immigration Act 2014 – Private landlords to be required to check the immigration status of tenants both before they rent

The UK Government is to introduce a new provision relating to letting of private property in the UK. From 1st December this year, private landlords will be required to check the immigration status of tenants both before they rent, and on an ongoing basis. Depending on your immigration status or the duration of your tenancy, you might be subjected to yearly checks which are chargeable to the tenant.
