The unique meeting arranged by Brussels airlines, a major AACB sponsor took place at Rutgers University’s multi-purpose, state-of-the art Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium at Yurcak Field in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Team Ghana’s Coach Baffour Acheampong said the fifty-six man delegation led by AACB 2013 Chair Famod Konneh, discussed world cup qualifiers, European soccer, past club and national team games, and team transfer of players.

Team Ghana offered the Red Devils players new Ghanaian uniforms as gifts while the Red Devils including its famous Barclay Premier League players Vincent Kompany, Romelu Lukaku, Marouane Fellaini, Eden Hazard and Christian Benteke signed autographs and took photographs.

The Red Devils with a roster of 10 players from the English Premier League, now ranked 15th in FIFA’s world ranking were in the United States for a football friendly with the USA national team on Wednesday.

They successfully defeated the United States 4 – 2 at the FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.  Red Devils Christian Benteke scored two goals in the second half and Marouane Fellaini scored the third while Kevin Mirallas scored the fourth goal to seal the win.

Belgium’s next World Cup qualifying match is against Serbia on 7 June in Belgium.

It is not clear whether the Red Devils would be generous enough to invite Team Ghana for a friendly match in their homeland Belgium.
