Hanya left the spotlight after the official release of his first album,The Beginning, in 2013. He attributes the hiatus to a myriad of challenges.” I have been off the music industry ‘radar’ because of a number of challenges. Chief among the obstacles being the unavailability of financial resources to facilitate for my professional growth as a musician. Another major challenge was the lack of the much needed media publicity which is paramount in the entertainment industry. It’s unfortunate that much attention is given to celebrated artistes at the expense of the upcoming musicians.
