Zimbabwe: Jah Flame Engages Angel Arts on New Video Project
By Ronnie Chisamba – Kadoma based conscious reggae musician, George Mandevu (44) – aka Jah Flame – has engaged Zimbabwean international filmmaker and cinematographer, Artwell Mukonyora (34) – aka Angel Arts – in the production of the video for his latest offering titled He ls In Control.

Jah Flame recently released He Is ln Control – a gospel track that inspires and motivates the citizenry and world in the fight against the deadly Covid-19 – on social media. The release of the audio version of the song was in line with the country’s lockdown guidelines which emphasized social distancing in an attempt to curb the spread of the corona virus.
The song features Jah Flame’s producer and friend Fanuel Kanyonganise (39) – aka Fankan.
Speaking to this publication earlier today, the musician said the decision to work with Angel Arts was a result of ensuring that his followers and music lovers in general get the best product. “l have been following Angel’s work on the local and international arena and the least l can say is l have been impressed. The names of musicians who have worked with the man (Angel Arts) speak volumes with regard to his level of expertise and professionalism.
“I have been in the music industry for years and l know for certain that a good musical video goes a long way towards promoting the song and facilitating the career growth of the musician,” Jah Flame.
Formerly known as Barbed-wire or General Katell, Jah Flame recently made a comeback from his hiatus in the wake of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. The musician sighted lack of funds and the availability of promoters as some of the reasons which had led to his absence from the music scene.
Since embarking on the musical journey over two decades ago Jah Flame has produced a number of tracks – including Betrayal and Zimbabwe Reggae among others. His endeavours resulted in him being interviewed on national television and a number of radio stations.
