Zimbabwe: Hip Hop artiste pens song for wife
By Own Correspondent – A Kadoma Hip Hop artiste who recently married has penned a love song for his wife.
Tatenda Chisamba popularly known as Trice in the showbiz industry got married to Linda Mangadza with the young artiste paying lobola as per tradition while plans are afoot for a white wedding in December.
Chuffed by this new responsibility, Trice decided to pen a song for his wife titled ‘Ndobata Denga’ which was done with the support of another budding Kadoma artiste ‘Rockie Vee’.
“I feel elated that now I have grown up by marrying my sweetheart and the song ‘Ndobata Denga’ is just a compliment to ‘Lee’ (his wife) that I am now truly indebted to her,” quipped Trice.
In the song the artiste pour his heart out that he is in deep love .
“Ndobata Denga Ndakavimba newe,urinhapi tapi ndoshaya kuti ndobata papi,(I am in the heavens because I trust you and your love make me go crazy I don’t know what to do),”is part of the chorus and lyrics to the song.
The song was produced by young upcoming Kadoma producer Lil Breeze, real name Chris Yeremia.
The young artiste says he is convinced that he won’t let fame get in his head to jeopardise his new found love.
“Many of our folks in the music industry have failed to manage their marital life because of fame but I strongly believe I will man up and not allow distractions in my new life,” promised Trice who is also in the car import business.
Trice is a promising hip hop artiste who has produced a catalogue of hits .
Most Zimbabwean young married artistes have been in the press for wrong reasons chief among them being infidelity controversies.
Top Zimdancehall artistes Soul Jah Luv and Seh Calaz have been reported for bashing wives and bedding several women. Urban grooves legend Rockfolds Josphats ‘Roki’ sired many children with different wives.
