Though the negotiations have been an on-going process, the deal is now in its final stages as both parties – Gandanga Music Zimbabwe and Mr305 – are working out the agreement and terms of partnership.

Gandanga Music is owned by Carlpit’s brother Metaphysics – an internationally acclaimed emcee. The former is also a shareholder at the label.

Carlprit is being represented by the label’s (Gandanga Music) team together with their United States manager only identified as Shaun whereas Pitbull is representing his label.

In an exclusive interview with Shout-Africa, Metaphysics said he was in a hotel lobby with US based Canadian pop singer Justin Beiber and controversial pop diva Lady Gaga. Metaphysics had to squeeze his time and revealed that they were approached by Pitbull’s manager Robert Fernandez who disclosed their interest in signing Carlprit at their label.

The manager has been instrumental in developing Pitbull into the brand that he is today and according to Metaphysics “now they want to expand their territory…”

He went on to salute their US manager for linking Gandanga Music with some prominent international stars in the global music industry.

“Through our US manager (Shaun) we have made contact to some of the hugest players in the game. It’s funny as I write this I am in the hotel lobby with Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga. So for us it’s just part of the process – Gandanga is the movement,” said the founder of the 90s hip hop group – A Peace of Ebony.

In as much as many would want to know the amount involved, Metaphysics was reluctant to disclose the figures saying, “Let’s just say it is a US deal so they are usually a little more generous with their advances. I am not at liberty to talk figures but my team and I are very pleased with the offer.”

Hence, moral is at all times high in the Gandanga Music camp since they are a few signatures away from clinching one of the biggest deals ever.

“The deal is just one offer on the table right now but this one feels right because Mr305 and his team are as hungry as we are. Let’s see how it pans out – thanks to Lillane, Christoph, Shaun, Robert and
Pitbull for holding us down and like my little brother (Carlprit) so eloquently puts it (in his hit single) “see you at the top,”” said the African hip hop guerrilla. Having been true to the game since the days of his first solo mixtape, “The Hustlers Academy,” Carlprit, real name Rudi Frank Schwamborn’s deal with Mr 305 does not come as a surprise since his rapping flair has been on numerous occasion likened to Pitbull’s by fans and music critics. Calprit’s finally made noise in 2009 when he was under the management of his older brother, (Metaphysics) from the band Söhne Mannheim’s.

Zooland producer Yann Peifer recognized his potential and offered to try him out on a new project after he was presented to the label. He featured on Cascada’s “Evacuate the Dancefloor.” It was his first performance with a major label.

The song was released in the United Kingdom on June 29, 2009 by “All Around the World” and debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart the week of July 5, 2009. The song also peaked at number two in Ireland.

Last year he kicked off with a hit track entitled “See You at the Top” which featured UK based Zimbabwean brothers BKay and Kazz. The classic video featured girls from the German television show “Model WG” as well as Miss Germany finalist Martina Lee and FHM model Julia Grulisch.

Meanwhile, Gandanga Music announced that it will be releasing new tracks featuring American R ‘n’ B singer Ray J (Brandy’s younger brother) and other hot placements including rapper Mims, famed for his hit track “This Is Why I’m Hot.”
