Gambia: Tamba, Fofana opt not to open defence in treason trial

General Lang Tombong Tamba, former chief of defence staff, and Rear Admiral Sajor Fofana, ex-chief of naval staff, yesterday told the Special Criminal Court that the defence has opted not to open their defence, but instead they chose to rely on the evidence adduced by the six prosecution witnesses. Sierra Leone Gets $19m From OFID

Ogundeji – To boost water supply and proper sanitation in Sierra Leone, the country  has signed a US$19 million loan agreement with the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) in Vienna, Austria.  According to the Sierra Leone Embassy in Berlin, the money will be used to implement water and sanitation projects in the three provincial headquarter towns of Bo, Kenema, and Makeni. Tanzania’s budget lacks transparency- study
