The Port Authority of Douala, PAD, has taken another step forward in its security improvement process engaged by port authorities. In its quest to improve performance, PAD lays special emphasis on the security of the port, as well as its facilities, port users and freight. West/Central Africa: Three Competitive Projects to Be Launched

By Shout-Africa Cameroon correspondent – A four-day regional workshop, attended by 77 agricultural researchers, to plan the launch kicked off in the economic capital yesterday. Experts from the West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development started planning the official launch of three competitive projects. The projects are those validated by stakeholders in the region and fall within two of the eight CORAF/WECARD programmes, namely; livestock, fisheries and aquaculture and natural resources. Gambia: Police detain journalist Saikou Ceesay

By Shout-Africa Gambia Correspondent – Reports reaching this paper have confirmed that Saikou Ceesay, a journalist with the Daily News newspaper and a member of the Gambia Press Union executive committee, was yesterday arrested and is currently detained at Police headquarters in Banjul.
