Vice President Dr Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, was born in Cape Coast in the Central Region on the 29th of April 1951. He had his General Certificate of Education O Level at the Mfantsipim School in Cape Coast from 1964 to 1971. He proceeded to the University of Ghana, where he was awarded Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Economics in 1974 and 1980. He was also a lecturer at the Anambra State College of Education, Awka Anambra State, Nigeria. By MORKPORKPOR ANKU (ACCRA-GHANA) – Former Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has been approved the Appointment Committee of Ghana’s Parliament as the new Vice President of the Republic Ghana. This was after he was sworn-in by the Chief Justice Georgina Wood, Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana at ceremony on the floor of Parliament in Accra late Monday evening. Dr Amissah-Arthur took his oaths of office in accordance with Article 60(10) of the 1992 Constitution.
