Retired President Obama Enjoys Full Life At the Mighty Serengeti in Tanzania

By Special Reporter, Arusha, Tanzania – People laughed in response to a recent comment by former Obama adviser, Benjamin Rhodes, who on one of his recent public appearances since they left White House alluded that President Obama was fine, relaxing and having full life after retirement.

Days later, that seems to be the truth-it has now been confirmed that former US President Barack Obama spent good eight days at the Tanzania’s mighty Serengeti National Park-one of the world’s best tourist attractions for its wild animal rich.

“He arrived in a private plane with his wife Michelle and other family members including daughters Maria and Sasha,” said a source who guided the Obama’s adding that the lack of fanfare during their presence here in Arusha was due to the family’s request for privacy.

Sources in the Serengeti confirmed that the Obamas had good time enjoying watching live animals, ballooning and meeting different people along the way. Sasha and Maria did not accompany their parents during their last official tour of Africa that took them to Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and South Africa.

Obama had mentioned the Serengeti savannah in his memoir-the Dreams From My Father when narrating his quest to trace his connection from Honolulu, USA, Kagero, Kenya to Zanzibar. His Arabic names “Barak” and “Hussein” from Tanzania (Zanzibar Islands) where his grandfather had converted to Islam to marry Halima his first wife whom they had no child.

Pictures released here shows a vividly happy and composed Obama meeting Tanzania’s Foreign Minister Dr. Augustine Mahiga on his way back from Serengeti for a Kenya and ultimately South African official tour.

The Serengeti:

“If you want to see as many wild animals as possible, you need to take a trip to Serengeti National Park. It’s arguably the best wildlife sanctuary in the world, and has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. At 5,700 square miles, it’s huge, and it’s full of wildlife: hyenas, elephants, hippos, lions, giraffes, monkeys wildebeest, zebra … the list goes on and on. There’s nothing else quite like it,” says a quotation on the INSIDER news forum.
