Ghana: DJ Abrantie to host Mario and J Holiday concert

By Peterking Quaye,Monrovia,Liberia – In a release dated from Accra ,dated 12th July 2011 received by shout-Africa ,it says months after putting up an excellent show at the highly successful Fabolous/Redcafe Easter concert, popular London-based Ghanaian Disc Jockey DJ Abrantie of Choice FM (UK), will return to his homeland as official host for the Mario/J Holiday concert billed for the 30th of July at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.

233 Connect, organizers of the concert, today, announced and said they are optimistic that the versatile and suave DJ would deliver once more.

An astounding radio and television personality whose audience spreads across the United Kingdom and beyond, Abrantie’s energy and passion for the work he does, has endeared him to most music lovers. The organizers have also hinted that more artistes will be added to the bill to make it a grand musical concert of a lifetime.

Abrantie’s dexterity and knack in handling his long-held Drive Time show on Choice FM (UK) on weekdays for well over a decade, coupled with his exceptional on and off-air interactive skills, continues to put him at the top echelons of the trade.

With a few TV performances under his belt, appearing in ITV’s The Bill and Footballers Wives, he expanded his resume in 2008 when he presented MTV Base’s DJ Takeover. He subsequently hosted iTunes’ Music Festival, which featured N. E. R. D, Taio Cruize, and Jay Sean.

Currently, the award-winning disc jockey hosts his own show called The DJ Abrantee Show on cable television network SKY. Abrantee plays an integral part in today’s young club scene.

Over the years, he’s played for stars such as, Jay Z, Missy Elliot and Akon among other heavy weights.

Abrantee is also heavily involved in DJ workshops for young entertainers and has fronted many positive community campaigns throughout the United Kingdom.

On the 30th of July at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre, the Mario/J holiday concert would prove why 233 Connect has come to raise the standards of entertainment industry in Ghana.
