Zimbabwe: Takesure Chinyama, Dynamos’ unstoppable force

By Trinity Kudzai Matendere – ZIMBABWE: Dynamos’ opening match against Gweru side Hardbody was just a send off shocker to the nation that the mighty striker Takesure Chinyama is an undisputed key to delivering yet another Premier Soccer League (PSL) title.

Chinyama who has so far netted at least seven goals in first four competitive league matches this season, proved to be the rightful person to fill the void which left by the respected gunman Cutherbert Malajila who left for South African topflight league occupancy Marizburg United.

Malajila’s fame came with his ruthlessness attacks whenever he faced the goal posts, a thing which proved that determination pays its dividends with time. Although he left at the peak of his celebrated fame, he was now a darling for the defending champion’s fans, who will be greatly missed in domestic league matches.

“I will forever miss Dynamos, and with strong pacts that l had welded with Rodrick Mutuma and the popular super star Murape Murape, we had built a strong formation that simply posed the viper Dembare could ever gather in during my time.

“And all the other team members Dynamos will remain a childhood home like the other clubs l ever played for.” Malajila a former Highlanders and Chapungu football clubs striker was recently quoted by a daily paper.

Chinyama, a 2008/09 Polish First Division top goal scorer displayed his dribbling and top of the shelf foot works and mesmerizing skills in the last match against Black Mambas over the weekend has become a nightmare to every goal keeper in the country.

In the Net-One Charity Shield finals against Motor Action, the energetic and youthful striker proved to be a constant threat to Motor Action defence that was forced almost leaked a score in the last minute challenges.

The former Hwange and Monomotapa hit man search for the net through out the 90 minutes, only to sink a winning goal, after hammering an unstoppable verifying gunshot that witnessed Motor Action’s goalkeeper Marlon Jani accepting a defeat.

In Mozambique against Liga Muculmana the heavily built striker left yet another signature by scoring two crucial goals. The fixture against Liga propelled Dynamos to the next round of the Africans Champions league. Unfortunately the Harare giants accepted a shocking 6-0 defeat in a fixture against the reigning champions Esperance, in what promised to be a walk over match for Dynamos.

In the opening match of the domestic premiership against Hardbody, a Gweru based PSL outfit, Chinyama scored a hat-trick and he proved to be hand full to the premiership debutants defence. He is a prolific striker indeed and has provided a refreshing oasis in a desert of mediocrity for Dynamos.
