Liberia: I E starts National League with defeat

By Peterking Quaye – Liberia’s one time champion club and continental representative I.E start the new Cellcom Liberia Football Association league on Wednesday with a stunning defeat to less fancy Jubilee FC.

I.E Football ClubThe yellow Boys went down 2-1 at the hands of Jubilee after missing a first half penalty, when the goalkeeper of Jubilee FC fouled an I.E player. Goals for Jubilee FC came from Prince Gbawe and Henry Sando in the 56 minutes and 70 minutes in both in the second half of the game tension packed game which recorded not too impressive turnout in terms of stadium attendance .Meanwhile I.E has filed a protest against Jubilee F.C for filling in a player without having a working permeate, as the player named Ike Neh ,is alleged to be a Nigerian who have been living in Liberia  .

A Shout-Africa.com source close to both teams are not letting any information out yet, on the decision on the protest to I.E is bent of getting the point from Jubilee .It will be recalled that I.E also filed protest in sometime ago against Monrovia FC in a similar manner which saw points deduction from Monrovia FC and making I.E to avoid relegation.

In an another development Liberia’s continental representative LISCR also clashed with BYC in a  repeat of their arc rivalry and an opportunity to set their records straight after an estimated 6 encounters with LISCR leading in terms of wins . At the end of the 90minutes the game was goalless but recorded a little setback when a player of BYC went down in their half which lead to him fainting and holding the game for some minutes.
