International Volunteer Day (IVD)
By Novell Zwange –International Volunteer Day (IVD) is approaching. This year, UNV’s theme is “Volunteering for the MDGs”. In the run-up to 5th December, UNV is organizing a global discussion on Facebook about volunteerism and how volunteers can tip the balance towards meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). We at SHOUT-AFRICA are deeply touched by the work online volunteers are doing to build communities, during the month of December we shall be paying tribute to global citizens involved in promoting such ideals.
