World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers offers leadership training

Newspaper and online media managers and editors from Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia can apply for a leadership development program.

The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) offers the Media Professionals Program (MPP), equipping mid-level media professionals with sustainable strategies, skills and support networks to advance their careers and contribute to the growth of financially viable and editorially strong media enterprises in the region.

Participants will receive individual coaching to create a 3-5 year career action plan, workshops on leadership and management skills and regional and international networking through attending WAN-IFRA events.

Applicants must have at least two years in middle-management positions and solid English-language skills. Twenty participants will be selected and women are encouraged to apply.

The deadline is June 8.
