The February contest, probably one of the most competitive in the history of the pageant saw a fierce light-hearted battle between crowd favourite Gamu and another front-runner, Shamiso Chifokoyo on why they deserved to win the coveted spot.

In a bid to win public affection, contestants shared details of their charity engagements, received corporate endorsements and ‘spiritual encouragement’ whilst others established a network of fans lobbying for votes to support their campaigns on the group’s facebook page.  With tempers sometimes flaring between different sets of supporters, the tense battle between contestants showed why the competition has increased in popularity.
