South Africa: Reclaim your power with Chante Moore

…….US singing sensation to headline at Women’s Mentorship Conference and concert in April – Johannesburg – Internationally acclaimed gospel singer, Chante Moore, is headed for South African shores. On her second visit to the country in less than a year, she and a number of prominent local women will speak at a Women’s Mentorship Conference to be held on 14 April at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.

The conference, which aims to inspire, uplift and empower women, will feature high-profile speakers who will address such topics as entrepreneurship, leadership, personal branding, the media, finance and investment. Chante Moore’s ‘Tapping into Your Own Power to Attain Success’ will be the highlight, and she will also be performing at a concert that evening.

The subject of reclaiming your power is a topic close to the hearts of many women and, indeed, to Chante herself. A single Mom who was abused as a child, and who has gone through two difficult divorces, she has triumphed against the odds to become one of the most popular gospel singers in the world today. Also a spokesperson for Sportygirl Fitness, she believes that owning one’s personal power revolves around a healthy, focused and motivated mind in a healthy body.

“As a company, we are driven by the goal of seeing women uplifted in both their personal and professional lives, and by providing them with some of the tools to do this,” says Zimkitha Rodolo, Managing Director of leading black-owned events and investment company Masbulele Trading, which is organising the conference and the concert. “This subject is very much aligned to our core vision of inspiring, uplifting, encouraging, educating and making a contribution to Africa and all Africans,” she adds.

“South African speakers will, of course, feature strongly, and these will include Kate Bapela, the Chief Communication Officer at the IEC; Zelda McCauley, a motivational speaker and the former wife of Rhema church’s Pastor Ray McCauley; and Sonia Booth, amongst many others.”

Rodolo says that the organisers would like to see the delegates benefitting from the kind of information that can empower them and strengthen them in their careers, their relationships and the management of their health.

“Networking and learning directly from others is one of the surest paths to business and personal success,” she says.

Rodolo herself is a poster child for personal empowerment. Having read Business Studies at the University of Hertfordshire in England, she not only runs Masbulele, but is also on the Board of Trustees for the Ikusasa Awards and YEBO (the Young Entrepreneurs Business Organisation). She is an author and an inspirational speaker in her own right too, and it is this that has made her so passionate about bringing messages of personal empowerment to women.

Tickets are available at Computicket and are R1, 500.00 for both the conference and the evening concert. Tickets for the concert alone are R350.00
