A reliable source has hinted Shout-Africa.com that she is expected to shot a Hollywood movie in the days ahead along side Ghanaian prolific actor John Dumelo who will for the first time have the opportunity he missed sometime ago be in a Hollywood movie will appear and act with Hollywood Actress Nia Long in this unique Hollywood standard movie project in Ghana.

According a source close to Shout-Africa.com, the movie has brought together a well package production crew from US for the shooting, they crew will be on location for an undisclosed days shooting the movie.

The entire crew with the expectation of the Director, who is an African .The upcoming movie “Ties that Bind”. The Actor expressed that he was excited about his role and describes his Character as “Cool and Calm”. In the Movie, He plays the role of a Husband who is unfortunate to be married to a very difficult wife, but stays determined to make his marriage work. This will be the  Director’s probably second biggest project in less two year of her triumphant entry into the Ghanaian movie industry .The budget for her last movie was estimated to 1.5 m US and now for this project budget can be pegged at 2-4 million US .

Turning Point pictures, the company is dedicated to bring real stories of Africa to light through motion picture, and if this is a sign of her commitment to the course, then Bravo Leila.

Nii Long , For 15 years, Nia was instructed by acting coach Betty Bridges, better known as the mother of Diff’rent Strokes child star Todd Bridges. Her first notable role was a three-year stint as Kathryn “Kat” Speakes on the soap opera Guiding Light (1991-1994). During that time, she appeared in movies such as Boyz N the Hood, Friday, and Made in America. From 1994 to 1995, Nia Long played Will Smith’s love interest on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Since then, Long has appeared in leading roles in films such as Soul Food, Boiler Room, and Big Momma’s House. In 2003, she joined the cast of the drama Third Watch where she played Officer Sasha Monroe until the series ended in 2005. She has currently picked up a recurring role on Everwood as Cassie, daughter of Irv Harper.

Nia Long and actor Massai Z. Dorsey have a son, Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, born on November 26th, 2000. They were to marry in June 2001, but ended their relationship before then.

Written and Directed by the renowned Leila Djansi, who was recently recognized by the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA), “Ties that Bind” revolve around the stories of three women, Adobea, Buki and Theresa. They come from different walks of life but are bound together by a similar agony; the loss of a child. As Destiny unites them in a small village in Kroboland, the women journey together to redemption, love, life and forgiveness as they renovate a dilapidated clinic for the villagers.
