Contemporary Art from Africa (Talk-Event)

HAA! will hold an event where you can learn about the content of the art works presented by HAA ! during the exhibition « Tokyo Diversity » at 3331 Arts Chiyoda from 20th to 29th August. The presentation will include the following.

• House of African Art (HAA!), planned to open in Japan in 2013. What will the center be like? Who will visit the center? What activities will be offered there?

• Contemporary art scene in Africa

Paintings by Amadou Tounkara, an artist from Senegal, who has been living for many years in Japan, officially selected for the biennial Dak’Art 2010 Selection of sculptures from Gabon, presented by the Wife of the Ambassador of Gabon, Mrs. Aline Obame Video art by Douts, a Senegalese artist Art works by Nigerian artists (by Tafeta Partners)

• Art binding Africa and Japan

Nairobi Art Project by Yoshinari Nishio Artist-in-residence programs between Japan and Africa to be organized by HAA!
