Offshore West Africa 2012 launches Preliminary Conference Program 24‐26 January 2012

International Conference Centre, Abuja, Nigeria – October 2011; Offshore West Africa 2012, the premier conference and exhibition for the offshore oil and gas exploration & production industry within West Africa, has announced the preliminary conference program for the forthcoming event in Abuja, Nigeria. Supported by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the 16th annual Offshore West Africa, taking place from 24‐26 January 2012, will once again address key technology and development issues for the West African offshore oil and gas market, through a comprehensive educational program and three‐day exhibition, under the theme – Deepwater Technologies for West Africa.

Offshore West Africa 2012 will get underway on Tuesday 24 January with the Opening Plenary, including a Welcome Addresses from the Offshore West Africa Advisory Board Chairman, Francis Alabo Ogaree, General Manager, International Venture Opportunities, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, as well as invited Ministry Welcomes from Mrs. Diezani Alison‐Madueke, Honorable Minister of Petroleum Resources, Ministry of Nigeria, and Dr. Joe Oteng‐Adjei, Honorable Minister of Energy, Ministry of Ghana. This will be followed by the ribbon cutting and official opening of the Offshore West Africa 2012 Exhibition.

Also taking place on Tuesday 24 January will be the Operators Perspective session including invited speakers from BP, Tullow Oil, TOTAL, Shell and ExxonMobil, as well as an Industry Resource Assessment from Dr. Christopher J. Schenk, US Geological Survey.

Other conference highlights include two separate Local Content Sessions including presentations from TOTAL, Richardson Oil & Gas and SNEPCo., as well as two Well Construction & Drilling Operations sessions with content from Chevron , Halliburton, ENI Ghana and TOTAL.

In addition there will be a Regional Local Content Panel Discussion on Thursday 26th January at 9:30am including representation from some of the regions key players.
