Accra to Host Business Event for Start-Ups

By Morkporkpor Anku – (ACCRA Ghana) – Occupational Management Limited, a UK-based, human resource consultancy firm, is organizing a two-day conference and exhibition for business starts-ups and small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), from February 25-26, 2011 to empower new businesses and  existing once in the country.

The conference and exhibition will be on the theme: “Business Sense 2011- Turning ideas into profitable businesses to drive Ghana’s private sector forward”.

A Statement issued in Accra on Thursday by Mr. Paul Asinor, Conference Director and copied to the GNA said the conference would enable Ghanaian entrepreneurs to learn and share ideas to grow their businesses from each other, leading to greater business success.

It said the delegates would benefit from learning “how to successfully set up their business”; “how to grow and develop their businesses”; “learn the trade secrets to a profitable business”; and there would be a unique opportunity to network with key business experts.

The Statement noted that the ability to successfully establish, grow and develop businesses in a constantly-changing technological and global world limits many Ghanaian businesses from reaching their maximum potential.

“The entrepreneurial spirit of Ghanaians has never been in doubt”, it added.It said the objective of this conference among others was to promote and enhance business growth in Ghana.

Topics to be discussed at the conference include “How to grow your business” “Learn the trade secrets to a profitable business”, “how to write a good business Plan”, “getting the loan for your business”, how to profit from your website, what about the taxman among others.
